A large Norman church dating from 11th century, cruciform in construction with a tower on the crossing, north and south aisles added later. Unusual external; round access tower to bell chamber.
Victorian modifications to the roof; there are seven sepulchre tombs in the walls, 14th century knight in armour tomb cover, and a Bushel measure, in the church.
Victorian stained glass. One original window. Stone carving of St Peter and Norman doorway thought to be Saxon.
