St Dubricius, Whitchurch

Welcome to this beautiful church on the banks of the River Wye near to Symonds Yat East. The list of incumbents date from 1289 and the church is one of the oldest in the Deanery.

We are a vibrant community with services every Sunday.

In the churchyard is the Gwillim Grave Enclosure which has links with Canada and John Graves Simcoe who was the first Governor General of Canada. Also a tulip tree which flowers in July and is an added attraction for visitors.

We have our own landing stage and welcome visitors by boat.

Also wedding parties can arrive from neighbouring hotels.

We are embarking on a programme of restoration to provide toilet and kitchen facilities.
